Kevin Pollak was defeated in the winner takes all $1 million prize at the Super High Roller Celebrity Shootout by Vanessa Rousso. She is now in the race for the Big Brother 11 win.

If you have missed the NBC Sports broadcast of the incredible winning game Vanessa played you will have another chance when Poker Central opens their channels on October 1st. Vanessa has caught the $1 million prize by the tail and is ready to dive into the Big Brother 11 show.

For those Poker aficionados that cannot wait till October, here is a rundown:

  • Five celebrities were battling for the win
  • Five professional players were ready for the challenge as well
  • The game: two five-max Sit n Go’s
  • The winner of each group would face off in a best of three heads-up matches
  • The prize: $1 million.

Kevin Pollak defeated the likes of Hank Azaria, Norm Macdonald, Brad Garrett, and Don Cheadle, while Vanessa had to fend off Phil Helmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Doyle Brunson, and Antonio Esfandiari, all five-star poker pros. In a twist of events, Vanessa Rousso managed to beat Pollak for the grand prize.

Vanessa now holds the 20th place on the Hendon Mob all-time live tourney chart with a whopping $11.6 million in winnings. She has not placed above other grand players like Greg Merson, Bertrand Grospellier, and Tom Marchese.

Rousso is now stuck in the Big Brother house and before entering she declared “Being in the house for 100 days will be my biggest mental challenge. I will need mental endurance to make good decisions and avoid being overly emotional.”
