GPS Stoke won by Pia Jeppesen

The latest winner of the Genting Poker Series (GPS) Main Event is Pia Jeppesen. The Dane was the only non-English player to win any money in this pokies casino tournament which took place at the Genting Club in Stoke. She overcame a field of 284 entrants, winning the fabulous sum of £30,660.

This event was the seventh iteration of this year’s series. This was the fourth largest of them all and the £100,000 guaranteed prize pool was easily covered (£113,600 were banked).

This was a very impressive win for the Danish woman. Her final table has some really good players from the British Poker community. Among her opponents was Robert Boon who is a two-time Grosvenor United Kingdom Poker Tour Main Event winner and Leo McClean who once finished third in a European Poker Tour Main Event for the sum of £250,000.

Her victory in Stoke is her ninth live tournament win since she started her Poker career in 2008. She has come out in the money 45 times with 50% of them in the top 3 spots. That is quite the record for any Poker professional. She now has over $142,072 in live tournament earnings which is not a sum to laugh at. This is clearly her biggest win to date with her previous best being a 26th place finish in a 2008 WSOP event which landed her a cool sum of $24,134.
